Who is Edgardo Dona'?

Edy started fly fishing in 1984 and shortly after began to compete- winning the Italian title on 1 occasion, two times 2nd and one time 3rd . He specialised in both nymph fishing and dry fly techniques, attaining the EFFA instructor certificate in May 2005. During the course of his fishing career he have also made several movies for the Sky fishing Channel, as well as other social media sites. These movies demonstrate the different techniques of fly fishing for both the lake and river, and also include fly tying demonstrations of the most effective patterns in his fly box:

There’s just something about standing in the water fly fishing or spinning that brings it back to what it’s all about.

This is a rare opportunity to fish with a world champion. A fun day out with Edy that will improve your technique and open a new world of knowledge for you. This trip is for people with experience In fly fishing. this trip we use European nymphing or dry fly fishing as the fly fishing style.

Flyfish in gin-clear Italian Rivers. Our Walk Wade fly fishing trips take place on several rivers including locations in Valtellina, & local area pocket water. We recommend these trips for all angler experience levels. We have something for every angler.

DAY RATES START AT

€520 maximum two guests.

Trips include rods, and reels. flies, tippet & riverside pack lunches

Trips do not include a possible lunch in a restaurant, an Italian Government fishing license of €23.00, or private water access fees. Transport to meeting point.

Available from 15th of March to the 10th of December. Fly Fishing with Edy trips are available every Monday Wednesday Saturday and Sunday.

Our fishing trips are instructional-based for beginner and advanced anglers alike however this trip is more suited to anglers who have fly fished before.

How the day is planned.

A typical day with Edy Dona' includes: meeting at the established meeting point by 8 am. Then we go to buy a local packed lunch and head to the river. We fish until lunch, have a lunch break and then return to fishing. There is no confirmed end of fishing as this depends entirely on customer needs. We fish until you say let's go home.

Once availability is confirmed by our staff you can make your reservation online by paying an upfront deposit by clicking down below(deposit is per person).
Once the deposit is paid we will confirm the guide and send you your final booking confirmation that includes your meeting point and time. Your guide will also contact you to confirm everything before the day of the trip.
The final payment is made on the day of the trip via credit card or cash.
